I became a football coach to give back the knowledge and skills I learned at their age. I want to teach kids new things and see them improve, but I wantthem to enjoy improving and learning these new things in the process. After school clubs, saturdays and half term holidays football programmes offer children the opportunity to get

off the streets, and instead play football in a organised, safe location. This inturn reduces youth crime rate and also creates a safer environment

for the wilder community

HealthIt is proven at the development of excercise and sport sciences at the

university of Copenhagen that small sided football is better than going to

the gym or any other sport. This is because more key muscles are being used at the same time, also 90%

of your heart is being used during the exercise, this is also significantly increases blood pressure. This is very

good for children at a young age.

SocialThe children are in constant

interaction with other children of a similar age group to them. This allows them to create friends and interact in a fun and friendly environment with

new people. This helps to develop key

communication and social skills which are essential later on in the childs life.

a few mates or even participate in league matches

on a friday’s or weekends, either one is by far the best to

get your fitness up to the maximum level. Tight space,

5 a side, definatly ensures you are walking off the pitch

dripping in sweat. I can say it will 100% help my cardio,

stamina and general excercise. I think it’s a hell of a lot more

physical than 11 a side, but hey, its much more fun. My

mates and I first started Powerleague for a laugh, but with strict, Qualified referees

and competitive teams, we soon found ourselves battling for 1st in the 4th division, we

are now top of the 1st division! I personally need to play every

week, I love it”

LEAGUE FORMAT

League breakdown

Our leagues are divided into age groups based

on school year groups. Our leagues tend to cater for secondary schools and colleges (ages

12-18, this may vary at each centre).Each division is broken down into 6, 8 or 10 teams depending on how many teams are in

each age group.

League SetupEach team which enters our league

will first play a grading game to help us decide which division is most

appropriate for your teams ability. This will increase enjoyment, asyou will be competing against

teams of a similar standard.

Game TimeEach centre does vary on which daythe league is played, but majority ofour centres youth leagues are friday nights. The games are often played between 5pm and 9pm, with each

game lasting between 40-50 minutes.

SeasonEach of our seasons vary

depending on how many teams are in the league, but the season ranges between 10-18 weeks. Our leagues also run all year long, so as soon as a season finishes, the new season

begins the following week.

Promotion/Relegation

Depending on number of teams in the division, standard promotion and relegation formats apply with

the top 2 are promoted and bottom 2 of each league are

relegated.

PrizesWe at Powerleague offer a number of prizes to teams and individual

players depending of their season performances. The top 2 teams will

receive trophies, with the championsreceiving the league trophy. There

are also prizes for player of theseason and top goal

scorer in each league.

JUNIORTOURNAMENTS

1 hour of football

You are guranteed 2 hours of football no matter how many

teams turn up!

Knockout!

The tournaments are run exactly the same as a world cup format. Teams have to compete

within a group stage before the top teams progress into the

elimination stages.

Competitive

We will make sure your group is competitive and of a similar standard to your team. You will also only being playing teams

within your age group

Organised

We organise every aspect of the tournament. We collect scores as the tournament goes along so we can offer teams an up to date league standing. All you

have to do is turn up and win the games!

Community

We know how much the youth of today are stereotyped as being ‘hooligans’, so we at

Lucozade Powerleague offer an alternative foryoung adults to challenge that stereotype and to have

fun doing so in the process. Our leagues and tournaments are at times of the day

where young adults could be out on the streets causing trouble to the community, so we offer them the chance

to come to one of our centres and play some competitive football against like minded youths.

We actively discourage social disobedience, and we feel that with our product we will reduce the

amount of youths on the streets, andincrease the number of people playing

football at grassroots level.

We actively encourage young adults to lead a healthier lifestyle. It is prooven that small sided

football is better for people’s health, than going to thegym or any other sport.

With our facilities we offer young adults the chance tochoose how they lead their lives. Just an hour a week’sworth of football can significantly improve your health,and let’s face it, we’ve all been in that situation where
