How does it work? This pilot project aims to engage hard to reach young people with

mental health or emotional wellbeing needs and are at risk of

entering or remaining in the criminal justice system:

• Using new and innovative methods such as music production and

song composition tools to increase trust in statutory and non-

statutory organisations.

• Using photography, film making and poetry to engage and start a

dialogue with young people where traditional “talking

interventions” would not be appropriate.

• 1-2-1 mentoring for young people to identify needs including

health needs, family needs, education and employment needs.

• Work to identify issues surrounding their offending and emotional

wellbeing issues.

• Mentoring these young people towards better emotional health

and increased life choices, giving them the power to succeed.

• Supply and support access to other appropriate services including

education, housing, employment and mental health needs.
