Earlier this term a group of pupils spent the day in the grounds of Erddig. Our day in the
woods and forests comprised hunting for plants and mini beasts, some woodland challenge
activities and some hefty den building. The sun shone and everyone had a great time!

In order to intorduce himself to pupils our new guitar and drums teacher, Mr Lawrence, held
a musical assembly. Snejana is already being tutored by Mr Lawrence and gave us an excellent
performance of her guitar work. Other volunteers helped out and had a go at some of the
instruments – with pupils watching dancing to the beats.
If anyone would like to take up tuition in school please sign up at

As part of Elystan’s recent work on the First and Second World War’s
Laura Bennett brought in a box of wartime memoirs to share with the
class. The box was fascinating and contained lots of really interesting
aretfacts – all related to Laura’s wartime relative, Mr George Doige.
Thank you Laura – you really helped us bring History alive!
