Using the map find the coordinates for the following at ZSL Whip-

snade Zoo:

Directions

Draw the following trail on the map:

• A visitor enters the zoo and goes straight to the reindeer

• Next they visit the penguins

• They decide to walk past the bears and the African hunting dogs to the giraffes

• Then they see the flamingos

• Tigers are the next animals they visit

• Afterwards they go to the sea lions

• Finally they visit the lemurs

Now use the compass on the map to write down the direction towards each animal in the trail.

Look out! Check the compass carefully, which way is it facing?

For example:

• Red pandas to Grevy’s Zebras = North

• Grevy’s Zebras to Lions = North East
