Zoono$c parasites diagnosed at the Parasitology Laboratory-INIAV, Portugal: a review of the last 10 years Helga Waap, Jacinto Gomes Materials and methods Data on zoono$c parasites or parasites with zoono$c poten$al, including protozoa, helminths and arthropods were collated from the annual reports on the ac$vity of the Parasitology Laboratory of INIAV between 2006-2016. Introduc2on The Na$onal Ins$tute for Agrarian and Veterinary Research (INIAV) is the Na$onal Reference Laboratory (NRL) for animal diseases in Portugal. INIAV performs research ac$vi$es in the field of bacteriology, parasitology and virology, delivers laboratory services to support public health policies and the private sector and provides scien$fic and technical support to veterinary prac$$oners, farmers and the industry. The parasitology laboratory of INIAV is responsible for the laboratory diagnosis of animal and zoono$c parasites, encompassing helminths, protozoa and arthropods. In this work, we present data on zoono$c parasites diagnosed at the Parasitology Laboratory-INIAV over the last 10 years.
