making for Children’s Hospital: Psi members teamed up with the gentlemen from the Phi Delta Theta, Washington Alpha chapter to assemble an assortment of fleece tie-blankets and Valentine’s Day cards benefitting Children’s Hospital. With over 8 tie blankets and 60 cards made, we were able to make the children at the hospital feel cared for and loved.

4/2/15 ZTA Fundraiser Feed to benefit Cancer Research: Psi Chapter held a rootbeer float and Dick’s burger feed benefitting our Miss Greek candidate, Natalie Korssjoen in her efforts to raise money benefiting Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research. At $5 per person entry fee, our house was able to raise a large amount of money, which was donated for cancer research.

5/24/15 Friendship Bracelet Making for Children’s Hospital: ZTA Psi Chapter organized a community service/sisterhood exchange along with UW Kappa Alpha Theta and UW Delta Zeta. Taking place at Gasworks Park, the three chapters worked together to make friendship bracelets and cards to donate to the Seattle Children’s Hospital.

6/2/15 ZTA Philanthropy Auction: Psi Chapter held our 3rd annual auction on June 2nd at Greenlake Park in Seattle, WA. Members of our house worked long hours and donated their own money assembling baskets of goods that would be auctioned off. We were able to raise several thousand dollars for this event, which went towards benefitting our own Philanthropy.

Cancer”: Psi Chapter members teamed

up with “Making Strides Against

Breast Cancer” - an event unifying the

community to finish the fight against

breast cancer by walking and raising

funds to enable the American Cancer

Society to continue with their

extensive research. Our chapter

helped out at the event by passing out

ribbons and volunteering at the event

to help promote breast cancer

education and awareness as well as

volunteer at the survivors tent.

educate our community.

Members from Psi Chapter were given

the opportunity to pass out pink

ribbons as well as set-up a booth

promoting breast cancer education

and awareness during the UW

Women’s soccer match. In doing so,

we were able to reach out to the local

community about our philanthropy

and the significance of understanding

our health.

11/1/15 Saving Teens 5K: 16 members of Psi

Chapter volunteered at the Saving

Teens 5K at Greenlake Park in Seattle.

This proceeds from the race

benefitted families of troubled teens

who suffer from an array of illnesses,

from addiction, personal abuse, etc.

Our members were able to cheer on

runners, pass out water, and serve as

positive role models in our

community by talking to families of

troubled teens and encouraging the

families.

member of Psi Chapter was tasked

with donating one gently used article

of clothing to be donated to a local

homeless shelter.

Members passed out pink ribbons,

interacted with Mariners fans, and

spread awareness of breast cancer

throughout the day and during the

game. Psi is fortunate to have a

continuing relationship with the

Mariners baseball team so that this

event is an annual favorite.
