1/20/15 Cookie Decorating and Donation: Psi chapter teamed up with the Alpha Xi Delta Chapter at UW for a combined exchange/community service cookie decorating event. Our chapter was able to build upon our greek relations while benefitting a good cause. All the cookies that were made were donated to the University Food Bank.

1/27/15 ZTA Psi Chapter Ice Cream Feed Fundraiser: Our chapter hosted an Ice Cream social philanthropy event with all proceeds benefitting Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. At $5 per person entry fee, our chapter was able to raise a large sum of money benefitting our philanthropy.

2/3/15 Food Lifeline Volunteering: UW ZTA helped by sorting through 15,360 lbs of oranges to help combat hunger in the local community. By assisting with Food Lifeline, our members were able to redirect local goods to those who desperately need it to provide over 88,000 meals a day to local food assistance programs

2/10/15 Welcoming Phi Mu Sorority to the University of Washington: ZTA Psi chapter attended and helped welcome the founding chapter of Phi Mu at the University of Washington. Our members encouraged positive community relations and encouraged the notion of sisterhood throughout the Greek Community, helping to unify our house with other chapters.



2/14/15 Tie Blanket and Valentine’s Day card 30 people 2 hours 60 total Service Chair,

making for Children’s Hospital: Psi members teamed up with the gentlemen from the Phi Delta Theta, Washington Alpha chapter to assemble an assortment of fleece tie-blankets and Valentine’s Day cards benefitting Children’s Hospital. With over 8 tie blankets and 60 cards made, we were able to make the children at the hospital feel cared for and loved.

4/2/15 ZTA Fundraiser Feed to benefit Cancer Research: Psi Chapter held a rootbeer float and Dick’s burger feed benefitting our Miss Greek candidate, Natalie Korssjoen in her efforts to raise money benefiting Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research. At $5 per person entry fee, our house was able to raise a large amount of money, which was donated for cancer research.

5/24/15 Friendship Bracelet Making for Children’s Hospital: ZTA Psi Chapter organized a community service/sisterhood exchange along with UW Kappa Alpha Theta and UW Delta Zeta. Taking place at Gasworks Park, the three chapters worked together to make friendship bracelets and cards to donate to the Seattle Children’s Hospital.



6/2/15 ZTA Philanthropy Auction: Psi Chapter held our 3rd annual auction on June 2nd at Greenlake Park in Seattle, WA. Members of our house worked long hours and donated their own money assembling baskets of goods that would be auctioned off. We were able to raise several thousand dollars for this event, which went towards benefitting our own Philanthropy.

In conjunction with our Chapter’s

10/10/15 “Making Strides Against Breast

Cancer”: Psi Chapter members teamed

up with “Making Strides Against

Breast Cancer” - an event unifying the

community to finish the fight against

breast cancer by walking and raising

funds to enable the American Cancer

Society to continue with their

extensive research. Our chapter

helped out at the event by passing out

ribbons and volunteering at the event

to help promote breast cancer

education and awareness as well as

volunteer at the survivors tent.



10/16/15 UW Volleyball Pink Out Game: The

women from Psi Chapter attended a

UW Women’s Volleyball game and

passed out pink ribbons to promote

Breast Cancer Education and

Awareness as well as reach out to

members of our own community

regarding our philanthropy. We set up

a table at the event with brochures

and other informational pamphlets to

educate our community.



10/17/15 Think Pink! UW Football: UW Zeta

Tau Alpha assisted at a UW football

game by running an informational

booth promoting our philanthropy

and providing information, pamphlets

and brochures regarding Breast

Cancer Education and Awareness



10/21/15 Think Pink! Thunderbirds Hockey

Pink Out Game: Psi Chapter reached

out to the Seattle Thunderbirds

hockey team in an attempt to “pink

the rink.” Members passed out pink

ribbons and promoted breast cancer

education and awareness during the

event.



10/25/15 Think Pink! UW Women’s Soccer:

Members from Psi Chapter were given

the opportunity to pass out pink

ribbons as well as set-up a booth

promoting breast cancer education

and awareness during the UW

Women’s soccer match. In doing so,

we were able to reach out to the local

community about our philanthropy

and the significance of understanding

our health.



10/25/15 Think Pink: Sounders: Psi Chapter

attended a Seattle Sounders soccer

match to hand out pink ribbons and

promote breast cancer education and

awareness.



11/1/15 Saving Teens 5K: 16 members of Psi

Chapter volunteered at the Saving

Teens 5K at Greenlake Park in Seattle.

This proceeds from the race

benefitted families of troubled teens

who suffer from an array of illnesses,

from addiction, personal abuse, etc.

Our members were able to cheer on

runners, pass out water, and serve as

positive role models in our

community by talking to families of

troubled teens and encouraging the

families.

11/22/15 Card making for Children’s hospital:

Psi chapter made Thanksgiving cards

to the wonderful children at

Children’s Hospital in Seattle to

spread joy and happiness during the

holiday season.

Weekly Bryant Elementary School: Psi

Members volunteered at a local

elementary school as either a

classroom aid, helping the teacher

with whatever activity they’re

working on in class, or in the

homework center helping children

who are struggling on certain

subjects.

10/31/15 Order of Omega Clothing Drive: Each

member of Psi Chapter was tasked

with donating one gently used article

of clothing to be donated to a local

homeless shelter.

5/16/15 Seattle Mariner’s Pink Out Game –

Members passed out pink ribbons,

interacted with Mariners fans, and

spread awareness of breast cancer

throughout the day and during the

game. Psi is fortunate to have a

continuing relationship with the

Mariners baseball team so that this

event is an annual favorite.
