Background
The Asia- Pacific Region has conducted forty-eight Basic and three Advanced Management Course for Professional Scout Executives since the early seventies.
With the importance of training and Professional Development in the field of management for full time Professional Scouters, the World Scout Bureau / Asia-Pacific Region extends its efforts in assisting NSOs towards strengthening professional competencies of its full time executives through Management Courses for Professional Scout Executives.

AIM
To provide Senior Professional Scout Executives an opportunity to share their experiences in managing Scout Organizations and strengthen their professionalism to better serve the members in achieving the purpose and mission of the Scout Movement.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
1. Analyse the organizational structures of National Scout Organizations and the issues that arise in them.
2. Describe the process of conducting and analysing the performance achievement of a National Scout Organization, by identifying its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
3. Identify the characteristics of a quality National Scout Organization and know how to attain these qualities.
4. Outline the advanced methods and techniques of management theories and skills applicable in the Scout environment.
9. Explain an efficient and effective administrative system in a Scout Organization.
10. Explain how change affects an Organization and how to manage the change.
13. Identify ways to manage Adult Resources, and effectively utilize material resources and financial resources.
14. State alternative ways of organising and controlling work in a growing Scout Organization, explain the management systems and models being effectively and efficiently used in various Scout Organizations.
9. Identify the risks to the organization and how to manage them.
10. Improve/Prepare a long range plan to achieve the set growth target of the National Scout Organization.

Venue
State Training Centre, Jagatpura, Jaipur Rajasthan, India. This center is a newly built and well equipped centre right in the heart of the city of Jaipur.
Jaipur is a historical city also known as “Pink City”. It is one of the main destination for the tourists to India. One of the cities of the Golden Triangle (Delhi-Jaipur-Agra). Jaipur is connected by air, road and train from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, etc.

18 professional Scout executives from six countries (Bangladesh, India, Hong Kong, Nepal, Thailand and Singapore) attended the Advance Management Course

Course Faculty
Ms Saroja from Bharat Scouts and Guides was the Course Director and. S. Prassanna Shrivastava from the APR WSB/APR served the course as Co-Director and Mr Rakesh Kumar Sharma as Course Coordinator. Dr Mohd Effendy Rajab from Singapore Scout Association served as Resource Speaker. Mr Satish Batra, Mr Ramesh Arora and Rajesh Kothari from Bharat Scouts and Guides were invited as resource speaker on selected topics.
Group Facilitators were Mr S.K. Karak, Mr Raghuveer Singh Shekhawat and Mr M.S. Qureshi.
Recognition During the closing ceremony on 9th March, participants were provided with participation certificates and the staff with appreciation certificates by the regional office.
Evaluation Course evaluation was conducted to asses the success of the course and take note of the appropriate suggestions in planning of future courses. Looking at the feedback given by the participants it could be summarized as a successful course with 61% achievement of the set objectives of this course.
