Falla Restringida a Tierra de baja impedancia (REF) (1 de 2)
La función REF mide la corriente de neutro del objeto (ISP = 3I0’ ) y, Dependiendo del ángulo (∆φ) entre 3I0’ y la suma de las corrientes de fase( 3I0’’ = IL1 + IL2 + IL3 ), se determina si hay falla y si ésta es interna o externa.La sensibilidad de la REF es casi independente de la carga del objeto.(La sensibilidad de la función diferencial normal especialmente para fallas de alta resistenciapuede reducirse por la carga debido a la pendiente de la característica de disparo).La función REF puede ajustarse a 0.1 I/INO (min. 0.05) y por lo tanto es más sensibleque la protección diferential (aún con carga).
