1. Tech Drawing is basic and essential to all technical courses including drafting, engineering, manufacturing, construction, aviation and electronics.

2. Drafting is a graphic language and has its own alphabet and grammar. 3. Knowledge of graphic languages is essential in order to read blue prints.

Industrial Drafting

1. There are two main types of drawings: artistic and technical. 2. Artistic: as they see it. Technical: true to life. 3. ACCURACY IS ONE OF THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF TECH DRAWING. 4. The stages of an idea are: freehand sketch, mechanical drawing, working drawing.

Working Drawings

1. Working drawings are a complete set of drawings prepared so an object can be produced without additional information. These drawings are a complete set visual descriptions and measurements.

2. Working drawings are composed of two parts: views and dimensions. 3. Different views help you visualize an object. 4. Dimensions tell you the size and shape of a design.
