Across the UK, thousands of community sport and youth groups are using the power of sport to transform the lives of disadvantaged young people and the communities in which they live.
At Sported we are dedicated to ensuring these groups continue their amazing work by providing much needed professional expertise, resources and operational support.
VOLUNTEERING OPTIONS
I wanted to give my time and business expertise for a specific cause I am passionate about. As a Sported volunteer I can give as little or as much assistance as I have time for, and get the opportunity to make a real long-term difference to small community sports organisations.

MENTOR PLACEMENTS
Light Touch is our short-term volunteer service designed to help our members with their one-off operational challenges and questions. Assignments could include reviewing a funding application or advising on a marketing plan. Support can be provided remotely – perfect for those looking for a flexible volunteer option.
This extended placement will see you paired with a local Sported member to provide business mentoring over a period of between three to six months. You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of their operational challenges, and work closely with them to develop long-term strategies to boost their future growth and sustainability.
Typical time requirements: 1–3 hours per assignment
Typical time requirements: 4–6 hours per month for 3–6 months
LIGHT TOUCH SUPPORTOur Sported volunteer gave us advice and direction, shared best practices and a lot of general support, which looking back I can say was absolutely vital in getting us to the point we are at today. It was a fantastic experience which has given me the confidence and knowledge to write funding bids and continue the growth of the organisation.
