Botswana Qualifi cations Authority (BQA) invites interested companies to tender for the SUPPLY, INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION OF STORAGE AREA NETWORK (SAN). This tender is open to Botswana registered companies only.
Tender documents can be obtained from Botswana Qualifi cations Authority Building, Plot 66450, Block 7, FOR A NON-REFUNDABLE FEE OF BWP500.00 with eff ect from 4th May 2015. Bids must be submitted using the one envelope system. One original and four copies of the proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope labelled as follows:

The Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) is a parastatal organisation under the Ministry of Education and Skills Development. It started operating in November 2013 and draws its mandate from the BQA Act No.24 of 2013. Its main objectives are to provide for and maintain a National Credit and Qualifications Framework (NCQF) and to co-ordinate the education, training and skills development quality assurance system.

DEPUTY CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Job Summary:To provide strategic leadership and direction to both core and support departments to ensure delivery of cost effective and quality services to clients. Deputise the Chief Executive Officer and oversee daily operations of BQA. Promote and support cross-functional exchanges and operations among BQA departments and other organisations in the education and training sector.
Main Dutiesa) Support the CEO in effective planning, monitoring and evaluation of the organisation’s workb) Provide direct leadership and direction to ensure operational efficiency of the core and support functions of
the BQAc) Take delegated operational decisions, and empower Heads of Department to take functional decisionsd) Ensure that there are robust processes, systems, control and operating mechanisms in place to promote
effective and efficient delivery of high performance operational outcomese) Contribute to the development and review of corporate policies and strategy, and to the translation of

Position Requirements:Education: a) At least a Masters from a recognised institution or any other related qualification acceptable to BQA. A PhD
would be an added advantage Experience: a) At least 12 years’ experience, 7 of which should have been in a senior leadership position with significant
work exposure and networking experience with industryb) Significant exposure in the education and training sector would be an added advantage.

BOARD SECRETARY
Job Summary:To provide legal advisory services to management and the Board, with an overall responsibility for compliance with relevant legislation and regulations governing BQA. The position serves as a liaison between the Authority, its Board of Directors and relevant Stakeholders, ensuring that all matters are handled in accordance with the law and corporate governance practices and to provide secretarial services to the Board and its Committees.
Key Performance Indicators1. Compliance with statutory obligations and corporate governance practices 2. Quality of assistance, support, advice and guidance to the Board3. Ability to deal effectively with the Board, BQA Management and relevant stakeholders4. Good custodianship of relevant documents for the organisation
Position Requirements:
Education: a) At least a Masters in Law from a recognised institution or any other related qualification acceptable to

MANAGER, INTERNAL AUDIT
Job Summary:To lead the implementation of the audit programme aimed at assessing operational efficiency, soundness of business practices, reliability of financial reporting and effectiveness of financial controls and procedures and compliance with established procedures and applicable laws. The purpose is to assist management in the effective discharge of their responsibilities, and provide the Board and Audit Committee with an independent and objective assurance regarding corporate governance.

or risk assessment background. This must include 4 years of supervisory experienceb) Experience in conducting all types of audits (operational, financial and IT)c) Exposure to a similar function in an Educational and Training and/or a related regulatory environment would be an

Job Summary:To provide comprehensive employee relations advisory services as required by the BQA and to implement employee welfare programmes to enhance employee safety and wellness.

Position Requirements:
Education: a) Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Labour Laws or Social Sciences from a recognised
Institution or any other equivalent qualification acceptable to BQA.b) Membership of a recognised HR Professional organisation.c) Specialised training in industrial relations and staff welfare
Experience:A minimum of 5 years in Human Resource Management.
