Lecturer at postgraduate college Barhalganj, Gorakhpur affiliated with Gorakhpur University, Nov. 1981 – May 1982. Scientist B, 1983 – 1988 at NCL, Pune, Scientist C, 1988 – 1993 at NCL, Pune Scientist EI, 1993 –1998 at NCL, Pune Scientist E-II, 1998- 2003 at NCL, Pune Scientist F, 2003- 2008 at NCL, Pune Scientist G, 2008 onwards at NCL, Pune Excellent training in organic chemistry as evidenced by solid publications (156 Nos.), Managerial instincts demonstrated by successfully running the research group (15 Ph.D. produced) at present comprising of 13 Ph. D. research scholars and also by serving as a member of divisional administrative council (DAC) of NCL. Delivered invited lectures in universities and institutions both in India and Abroad. Initiated several projects in basic research on methodology development and asymmetric synthesis of complex natural products. Over 25 years research experience and leadership in both applied and basic aspects of chemistry. Worked in the capacity as project leader on several projects sponsored by pharmaceutical industries and government funding agencies including NMITLI, a mega project of the Govt. of India (CSIR). 2009, Eli- Lilly Asia outstanding Ph.D. thesis award 2009 ( First Prize) to my student, Dr. Satyendra Kumar Pandey, Eli- Lilly Asia outstanding Ph.D. thesis award, 2010 (Second Prize) to my student, Dr. Nagendra Kondekar Member of the executive council of Maharashtra Academy of Sci.
