In the field of solid mechanics, torsion is the twisting of an object due to an applied torque.
It is expressed in newton metres (N·m) or foot-pound force (ft·lbf). In sections perpendicular to
ithe torque axis, the resultant shear stress in this section is perpendicular to the radius. Note that

• *bove 6esults Shows the highest deformation and the point where there is
high fre7uency. The ma8imum deformation appears at the center of cran'pin
nec' surface. The ma8imum stress appears at the #llets between the
cran'shaft 9ournal and cran' chee's and near the central point ournal. Theedge of main 9ournal is high stress area.
• After >erfor!i ;odal *nalysis I <erformed static analysis of the cran'shaft
which results shows less realistic whereas static analysis provides an
overestimate results. *ccurate stresses and deformation are critical input to
fatigue analysis and optimi=ation of the cran'shaft.
• During the analysis we found that as the load increases the fre7uency also
increases and the de#ormation randomly increases or decreases.
• *nalysis 6esults. So we can Say that ;>D*? @E* is a good tool to reduce

64CONCLUSION AND FUTURE SCO"E
. The critical components are modeled and analy=ed in @E* software toevaluate the natural fre7uencies of the cran'shaft and estimate the
vibration characteristics of the same. Aut to design the critical
components the designer should bear in mind that considerable heat is
generated during the wor'ing of the critical components li'e the
cran'shaft and the connecting rod.3. The dynamic analysis should also be carried out to compute the
ma8imum stresses and the points and conditions for failure of the
same.!. ;oreover the critical components are designed ta'ing into
consideration the properties of one particular material structured steel.
The design of the critical components can also be accomplished by
considering materials apart from the one considered in this
dissertation.4. Ay increasing the design si=e of cran'shaft which is of four cylinder to
multi cylinder engine and by using the latest material used in design
we can understand more reliable.". The values that are generated by sub9ecting diBerent loads are 'ept as
a reference and compare them with the diBerent material which may
give the researchers to achieve the optimum design in the future.
