Dear Anita,
How are you , Anita? Hope you are well. My sister and I in pangandaran now. We
arrived here on Tuesday morning at four. The situation was already busy. Probably it was
because of the holiday time. We directly went to Panunjang and we found a lot of people
camping along the beach. We then took a cart and watch the waves rolling to the coast. It’s
interesting, too.
It was almost six. We then went to a restaurant have some hot drink and meal. We
went to hotels for a room but unfortunately all had been full. So we tried to get another hotel,
and we got a small and nice hotel. The rent was not too high.
At about nine we went to the Nature Reserve. The situation here was very nice. We
could hear the sound of the nature. We could see monkeys and deer. At cangkrungan we could
see small creatures but we had to be extra careful. The rock here was sharp.
Well, that’s all about our first day in pangandaran. Hope to be here someday with you.
I’ll be waiting for your reply.

little hill like royalty. There are trees literally everywhere. 415 is my house. It looks is the king of
Hillcrest.
The living room is the first room when entering the house. This room is filled with very lively
furniture, comfortable, tan leather couches, and colorful carpets over the bare wood floor, and a large
display case with pictures, books, and many memories of friends and family. And I mustn’t forget
about the enormous window that, during the day, will let as much sunlight and energy in the room as it

drawings on some of them. Her room is also decorated with strange little ornaments like little wooden
boxes, incense burners, and her own artwork.

distinguish it from bush crickets or katydids, it is sometimes referred to as the short-horned
grasshopper. Species that change colour and behaviour at high population densities are
called locusts.
Grasshoppers have antennae that are generally shorter than their body and
short ovipositors. They also have pinchers or mandibles that cut and tear off food. Those
species that make easily heard noises usually do so by rubbing the hind femurs against the
10
forewings or abdomen (stridulation), or by snapping the wings in flight. Tympana, if present,
are on the sides of the first abdominal segment. The hind femora are typically long and strong,
fitted for leaping. Generally they are winged, but hind wings are membranous while front
wings (tegmina) are coriaceous and not fit for flight. Females are normally larger than males,

An earthquake is one of the worst natural disasters on our earth. Earthquakes happen when
there is a sudden vibration in the earth’s crust. But most earthquakes happen because the
earth’s plates move.
In the middle of the 20th century scientists found out that continents do not always stay in
the same place. They have been moving on plates for millions of years. The earth’s surface is
made up of many such plates. Where two plates meet, magma comes out of the inner part of
the earth . These areas are called faults—breaks in the earth’s crust.
When two plates move away from each other, lava or magma comes out of the earth. Most
of this happens at the bottom of oceans, where the earth’s crust is very thin. Lava cools down
when it reaches the water and underwater mountains are formed.
Some plates slide past each other— for example, one moves north and the other moves
south . When these plates move along faults a lot of energy is released and the biggest
earthquakes happen.
