NUMACobsolescenceismanagedatthecardlevel,minimizingtheimpactoftechnologychanges.Newcardsmanufacturedtodaymaintaincompatibilitywithexistinginstallations.ThisallowsGEHtocontinuesupportingtheNUMACChassisinstalledasfarbackas1985withoutrequiringasystemlevelchangeout.
