Binghamton,NY–July27,2020–TheBinghamtonCommunityOrchestraispleasedtoannouncethatconductor,EvanMeccarello,willbejoiningtheorchestraasthenewMusicDirectorfortheBCObeginningwiththe2020-2021concertseason.Mr.MeccarellorecentlyappearedwiththeorchestraasGuestConductorinFebruaryofthiscurrentyear.Hehasbeenchosen,afterayearlongsearchprocess,tosucceedDr.TimothyPerry,whoservedtheorchestraformanyyearsandretiredafterthe2018-2019season.MaestroMeccarellojoinstheorchestrafromhishomebaseinRochester,NY.There,heservesasDirectoroftheHochsteinAlumniOrchestra,anensemblethathefoundedin2010attheHochsteinSchool.HehasheldthepositionofConductoroftheNazarethCollegeChamberOrchestra,andcurrentlyistheAssistantConductoroftheNazarethCollegeSymphonyOrchestra.Additionallyheconductsthe
