Hurley 22 – “Amelia Jane” £3,250
The Hurley 22 is a long-established family cruising yacht that was
developed in 1964 and first sold in 1966 when it became an instant hit.
Apart from her pretty lines she is solidly built and is a good performer.
The Hurley 22 was designed to be raced as well as cruised but it has
been her cruising performance that has won the respect of many
yachtsmen over the years. The Hurley 22 performs well, is sea-kindly
and has proved herself on long cruises. In fact, several Hurley 22's have
crossed the Atlantic, and at least one has cruised the Pacific.
'Amelia Jane' was built in 1986 by Ravensail. She is equipped with a fin
keel and is in beautiful condition. She is equipped with roller reefing for
the foresail and unusually for a boat of this size she has been fitted with
a Facnor mainsail furling and reefing system. Her sail number is 1187.
She is currently ashore in a boatyard close to Warrington.
The GRP on the hull, topsides and deck are in excellent condition and
she is ready to sail away.
