English Language Festival-2016 organised by the DPS Society

The students celebrated Teacher's Day with gaiety and fervour. They presented an enthralling
Cultural Programme on the occasion. The ceremony began with morning prayer followed by recitation
of poems paying tribute to the teachers. Thereafter, the students of classes X and XI presented
colourful dance and music performances.

On the eve of Diwali, the students of classes III to
V organised a colourful assembly. The students
presented cultural programmes to emphasize on
the and significance of celebrating Green Diwali.
A Special assembly for class II was organized in
the month of October. The theme was inspired by a
drop – how a drop can make a difference. A drop
of hope, a drop of love, a drop of humanity, a drop
of courage, a drop of harmony and a drop of faith
and belief. All these different aspects of human
personality were depicted. The whole idea was to
instill in the tiny tots the value of hope, compassion
and harmony.
A special assembly on Dussehara was organised in
the school. The students of class IV B presented a
wonderful skit based on the epic "Ramayana"
alongwith thought of the day, prayer and news.
The “Budding Artist” activity was held on 31st
Aug’16. The children participated in various
activities like colouring, drawing, rhymes,
singing etc. All the participating kids were
given a bouquet as a token of appreciation.

other officials from Panipat Refinery graced the assembly with their presence. The
students expressed their opinion on the issue of corruption by means of thought,
speeches and a Nukkad Natak. They also read out the messages of the Hon'ble
President of India and the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India. The Principal, Mr. Vinod
Sharma administered the Citizen's Pledge to all present on the occasion.

A career counseling seminar was organised by the
school for the students of class X to XII on 3rd October
2016. The career counselor, Mr. Kumar Pranay, from
Delhi was invited to address the students. He spoke at
length about the meaning of career, right way of planning
a career, important skills needed for a successful career
and various career options like Bachelor of Fashion
Technology, Hotel Management, Integrated Management
Programme, CLAT, Bachelor of Management Studies,
Bachelor of Busines Administration, Bachelor of Finance
and Investment Analysis, Bio Technology, Bio Chemistry,
Bachelor of Nursing, Journalism & Mass Communication,
NDA etc.

Professional Development in Educational Management (PDEM) Workshop
Mr. Mani Bhushan, Headmaster attended a workshop

been tested on second day and qualify an examiner in
Delf A1 and A2.
