• Parents are Todd and Maryann. Has a brother, Zac. Todd is a
long-time NHL coach and is currently serving as an assistant coach
with the Tam-pa Bay Lightning. He has been a head coach with the
Minnesota Wild (2009-10 - 2010-11) and Columbus Blue Jackets
(2011-12 - 2015-16). He was also a second round draft choice (33rd
overall) of the Montreal Can-adiens in 1985 and appeared in 8 NHL
games with the Hartford Whalers

A free agent signing of the Rangers in 2020, Justin Richards
skated in 20 games for the Hartford Wolf Pack in 2020-21, recording
four goals and seven as-sists for 11 points. He also appeared in
one NHL game with the Blueshirts. Richards scored 25 points (14
goals, 11 assists) in 34 games with the University of Minnesota
Duluth in 2019-20, and was selected as the NCHC’s Best Defensive
Forward. He appeared in 120 college games in three seasons at
Minnesota Duluth, registering 26 goals and 40 assists for 66
