She draws upon an understanding of braindevelopment and function, early childhood attachment and how exposure to repetitivetrauma, such as domestic abuse shapes and has an impact on this.

Lisa Cherry - Author, Trainer, SpeakerLisa is a highly regarded independent lecturer, keynote speaker (in trauma, attachment,recovery, looked after children, and the experience of care leavers), writer and coach.Lisa is the published author of three titles including The Brightness of Stars whichexplores the impact of having been in care through the eyes of the adult. We all want and need to believe that children are resilient, however early yearsexposure to even low levels of trauma can have a detrimental effect on life longresilience.

Working and living alongside of this requires a knowledge and understandingthat is trauma and attachment informed. This event will be of huge benefit to allinvolved in the care, education and support of these children and young people.
