Objectives of B.Ed Programme1. Develop positive attitude to teaching profession
and to coming generation2. To understand meaning, need and significance of
education.3. To know how Historical, Political, Social &
Economics conditions affecting education.4. Understand current problems of Indian education5. To acquire knowledge about child psychology as
well as educational psychology6. To train to use ICT & Educational technology in
the classroom
7. To get adequate competency over evaluation process in education

Objectives of B.Ed Programme
Duration of the courseTwo semester with a duration of 90 working
days each.The instructional days will be 7530 working days (15 from each semester) is
assigned for practice teaching

Scheme of ExaminationThere shall be a university examination at the end
of both semesterThe composition of theory and practicum (internally
assessed) of each paper shall be of 100 and 20 marks respectively.
Total 120 marks per paperDuration of examination for theory paper of 100
marks shall be of 3 hoursEach theory question paper shall comprise of 15
short questions of 2 mark each (No option given)10 out of 12 short answer question of 5 marks eachOne out of 3 essay question of 20 marks
02 X 15 = 30 ( No Choice)05 X 10 = 50 (10 out of 12)20 X 1 = 20 (1 out of 3)
Total 100 Marks
Required pass minimum for each Theory is 60 out of 120(50 % of the aggregate)
Scheme of Examination
Completion of the practicum of each theory paper is an essential requirement for appearing the concerned theory examination
There is no minimum marks for the practicum
Required pass minimum for practicals is 240 out of 480
Scheme of Examination
ClassificationThe aggregate marks obtained in theory paper
and practicals should be considered for determining the class
Not less than 60 % of the aggregate mark ie 720 out of 1200 shall be placed as first class
Less than 60 % of aggregate marks shall be placed in the second class
Candidate who pass the examination compartmentally will be placed in the second class only
Practical Examination The Board of External Examiners appointed by the
University shall examine the teaching competency and practical works of each candidate
All trainees will be called for taking class before the board.
All trainees should appear for viva-voce of the following1. Optional subjects.2. Measurement & Evaluation3. Educational Technology4. Physical Education
Only 20 % of the trainees randomly selected need to be called for demonstrating educational technology devices
Only 10 % of the trainees will be randomly selected for taking class in physical education.
Practical Examination No candidate without completion of Practice
teaching cum internship is allowed to attend theory and practical examination.
There is no provision for the reappearance of Practical Examination.
Candidates who have completed all the 16 items specified in Practicals alone are eligible to appear the theory and practical examinations.
Attendance Attendance of all working days is compulsory expect
extreme unavoidable reasons by the sanction of concerned lecture.
Applications for leave should be submitted sufficiently earlier.
Absence of 15 consecutive working days will be considered sufficient reason for removal of name from the rolls.
No late comer shall enter the class with out ratification of genuine reason by the lecture concerned
Attendance certificate required by the university for examinations will not be granted ineligible candidate by the Principal.
Lost working days will be compensated
UniformThe uniform for students on Tuesday,
Thursday and specific occasions will be as followsMen – Pants & Shirts prescribed by the collegeWomen – Sarees provided by the college
Students shall be clean and decent in appearance and dress.
Violations will treated as indiscipline.
