INVOCATION
CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 68:1–4
✤ HYMN No 01 How Great Thou Art
BEHOLDING CHRIST 1 Peter 1:13–21
“Let God arise, Let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is driven away, So drive them away; As wax melts before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the righteous be glad; Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly. Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name YAH, And rejoice before Him.”
“Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.”
✤ HYMN No 02 Jesus, Thy Blood and Righteousness
CONFESSION OF SIN Pastoral Prayer Ruling Elder Chip Wilford Responsive:
ASSURANCE OF PARDON 1 John 1:5–7 Ruling Elder:
HYMN No 03 Marvelous Grace of Our Loving Lord
Elder: Our Father in heaven, I beg You, hear the confession of Your people for Your Son’s sake.
Congregation: Lord, please forgive us. We have taken You for granted. We have taken the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for granted.
Elder: Oh, that we would not spend a single moment without marveling at the miracle of our redemption!
Congregation: We recognize that we have no way of cleansing ourselves from the stain of our sin. We realize we are saved entirely by Your mercy.
Elder: But we allow many other concerns and worldly desires to hinder the expression of our love and gratitude.
Congregation: Holy Spirit, strengthen our weak will. Give us boldness to declare our total dependence on You before all men.
All: Change our hearts, even now, that we will go forth and exercise every opportunity to publicly thank You for our hope and salvation through Christ Jesus. Amen.
The Holy Spirit reminds us: “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” Amen.
TITHES AND OFFERINGS Giving of Our Gifts Offertory
✤ Doxology: Praise God from whom all blessings flow,Praise Him all creatures here below,Praise Him above, ye Heav’nly hosts;Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
✤ Gloria Patri: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in thebeginning, is now and ever shall be,world without end; Amen, Amen.
