three guests attended the Soroptimist International of Winfield meeting April 19 at the Winfield American Legion. President Ruth Parman presided. Guests included Paisley Walker, Norah Leeper and Zoey McNulty.

The club voted to give funds to the Winfield Middle School All-Girl Robotics Team to help with expenses to attend the national competition in

May in Pennsylvania. The following team members and sponsors attended and explained the team func-tions: Evelyn Hall, Sophia Goodson, Carley Littrell, Winfield Middle School principal David Hammer, WMS assistant principal Kaitlyn Presnall and librar-ian and robotics coach Christy Reams.

Dee Ledy gave the Soroptimist Educational “minute” by explaining the 10 tips for leading the way.

Leeper will chair the Tuesday’s Table on May 14.

Sign-up sheets were distributed for workers for the upcoming garage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 1 at the Winfield Fairgrounds. The public is invited to contribute any items they may have by contacting any Soroptimist member.

Dee Ledy won the club’s 50/50 Lucky Duck drawing.

The club celebrated its 68th birthday on April 20.

The next board meeting

is May 1 and the next busi-ness meeting is May 3, both at noon at the Winfield American Legion.
