A human relation plays an important part in the workplace. A business can be
more successful if they have good human relations among coworkers and managers
and employee relations. Good human relations can make going to work a much
enjoyable experience as oppose to something that you dread every day. There are
challenges that go along with maintain positive human relations and it takes work on
everyone’s part that is involved.
I do not personally remember any times of difficulty in a small group. I do recall
certain employees who have supposed to work together as a team to get a job done
and it not going as smoothly as it could have gone. I think the problems occurred
because the two people involved were working the same position and instead of
working together to get things done as a team they were both trying to be the one that
was better at the job. They ended up both doing the job not very well because they were
too busy competing when there was not competition necessary.
I have experienced breakdowns in communication between myself and my
supervisor. There was actually not very much communication at all from the supervisor
and if there was ever an issue that needed a supervisor she was not very helpful. I think
that the lack of communication from supervisors to employees can result in negative
human relations. Personally I think it can also make it more challenging to have trust in
your supervisor and the supervisor to have trust in employees when there is no
communication between them.
I have witnessed a growth in my own self confidence as an employee over the
years. Since I have been working I have become more confident in my abilities to do
well in a working environment. I have also grown and learned from being independent
and providing and doing things for myself. I think that I have grown in my self-
confidence as an employer by becoming more secure with who I am as an employee,
and in general day to day life. As I have become more confident and comfortable in the
workplace it has made me a better more productive employee. I think that there are
several things that have led to my growth in my self-confidence as an employee. I think
that having worked for a few years now has helped me grow because I have more
experience with being in that environment. I also think I have grown and matured as I
have gotten older and become independent. Another thing that had led to growth for
me was knowing from supervisors that I was doing my job well and their desire to want
me to stay and grow with the company.
