PARENT EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS
The school officer has URGENTLY tried to contact a large number of parents regarding their sons welfare or medical emergency. In many cases, the parent contact details have not been provided or kept up to date. This is obviously a serious situation if parents are needed in a Medical emergency! Please ENSURE that the school has your correct day-time contact details. If it is not possible to contact you during the day, please ensure that you give us Emergency contact telephone numbers of a relative or family friend who has your per-
mission to collect your son on your behalf. Thank you.
CCF Senior Maths Challenge Success 2012

Congratulations to the following students who have made us all very proud:

CCF CHRISTMAS HAMPERS We are now collecting non-perishable goods for our CCF Christmas hampers for the elderly. Please send in your food/Christmas gift items (tins, pack-ets, soap etc) as soon as possible to the School reception. Thank you in advance, for your kind contributions. Mr Kneller
Following weeks of innovative cooking our Year 11
GCSE Food Technologists have now moved on the
next stage in the development of their selected reci-
pes. Each student has now chosen their favourite idea
to develop further and this year it is evident that des-
serts have proved the most popular choice. Cheese-
cake, gateaux and fruit pies were the order of the day
last week as each student baked four modified recipes
based on their original idea. Each student had to en-
sure that individually each recipe was altered from
their original by the use of assorted spices, ingredients
and presentation ideas. Following further taste testing
and analysis they will now decide which of their op-
tions they prefer before taking that idea forward for
one further modification in January. Parents of Year 10 Food Technology Students The next Controlled Assessment for Design Idea 3 will take
place on Tuesday 11th December 2013
Parents of Year 11 Food Technology Students
The next GCSE Controlled Assessment for the 2nd Recipe
Modification will take place on 11th January 2013
During the Christmas break would you please remind your
son that he still needs to complete all coursework to date
to be handed in at the start of the new term!

SPORTS REPORTS
Year 10 Basketball - CCF 45-33 Hendon
CCF Year 10's maintained an unbeaten start to
the Basketball season with a solid performance
against strong opposition from Hendon. As al-
ways with Year 10 their was a huge pool of tal-
ent to pick from and all boys turned in strong
performances.
CCF established an 8 point advantage at half-
time and always looked the more likely winners
until Hendon stormed back to get within 2
points as the game moved into the last 10 min-
utes. Inspired by some tidy finishing by Joseph
Chidyausiku, Louis Rolloda and Jordan Ekpa-Epu,
CCF re-established the upper hand and finished
the game looking hungry for more points. Well
done to the following boys for excellent per-
formances:
Louis Rolloda, Jordan Ekpa-Epu and
Funmbi Latilo. Mr Ellis

Year 8 Geography
Year 8 have been looking at the geography of crime in their recent Geography
lessons. They have looked at local issues, inspected the area for signs of
crimes, and researched the London Summer riots. They are enthusiastic and
full of good ideas to lessen the impact, as well as the prevalence of crime in
Finchley. Well done Y8 Geographers.! Ms McEwan & Ms Dean
