About Us
Pauntley Church of England Primary School has been
providing quality education to 4 – 11 year olds for over 150
years. We have multi-age classes that values each child as
individuals. Our school is located in the picturesque
countryside in Pool Hill, Pauntley near Newent, our happy
school offers small class sizes, personalised learning and a
family atmosphere that really welcomes children in and helps
them to grow.
Our Curriculum
Delivering a relevant curriculum is really important to us so we
look at the skills our children need to learn and use themes,
such as ‘space’ or ‘the Olympics’ to engage the children and
give a purpose to what they are learning. Our aim is to draw
out their full potential and for them to become lifelong
learners. Throughout the mornings the children are busy
reading, writing and developing mathematics then in the
afternoons we get creative with lots of art, design, religious
education and humanities; bringing in specialist teachers for
sports and music.
“Teachers know pupils very well and
their expectations are very high, which is
why pupils make good progress and reach
such high standards” - OFSTED
Our Community
Being part of a community means hands on access to local
history and a wealth of experience from the Church, local
residents and businesses. We have many volunteers in school
to deliver assemblies, listen to readers and support individual
children with their learning. We even host Toddler sessions
monthly for any young children in and around Pauntley.
Our Faith
Everyone is welcome to join Pauntley CE Primary School and
being a Church of England school, we always treat each other
with respect and are keen to grow our own faith whilst learning
about others.
