REMINDER
Parent Opinion Survey
closes on 13th November
It certainly was a sea of colour on Monday for our
House Day. Mrs Watts and the student leaders did
a great job organising the Amazing Race over the
past weeks and Monday was a great way to
conclude the event. Congratulations James on
being the inaugural winners of the Amazing Race!
Please know that there is a lot of planning and
organisation going on behind the scenes at the moment regarding
Graduation, our Leadership Assembly, excursions, ways to celebrate the end of
the year etc. These continue to be challenging times for us with the large
number of guidelines etc we MUST adhere to. The announcements made are
sometimes misleading, so please ensure you are reading the Schoolstream
messages as this is where the updates are being posted.
Thank you to those who have already returned Christmas Raffle money to
school. If you would like some more tickets to sell, please phone the office and
we will arrange for these to be sent home with your child. On behalf of the
Parents’ Club I would like to thank you for your support with this fundraiser.
Lunch orders are available again tomorrow. There were a few minor glitches
last week however the process seemed to be quite smooth. We will be asking
for feedback in the coming weeks.
Thank you to the parents who have been able to spend some time completing
the Department's Parent Opinion Survey. The survey is open until Friday 13th
November.
Please remember to contact the school if you have any concerns or
information you would like to share with us regarding your child and ask to
speak to myself or Anda before Friday November 20th. Please also note
that requests cannot be made for a specific teacher.
Here’s to a great Friday and a great weekend. There is set
to be some further easing of restrictions announced on
the weekend. It is hard to believe that there are just six
weeks left of what has been an incredible school year!

LAST DAY OF THE
SCHOOL YEAR
Welcome to Week 5!
Hello, we are Maddi and Samarah, the Doyle House Captains.
Last week was the final of the Amazing Race, ran by the House Captains, with assistance from other Leaders in the yard. A big ‘thank you’ to everyone who participated in the challenges each week, representing their House Team! Congratulations James on winning! The Year 5’s are currently writing speeches and applying for a Leadership role. A good leader isn’t about having followers, instead they create more leaders and influence others.
Being a Leader is a lot of responsibility but it’s also really fun. You get to work with your friends in the Leadership team and help out fellow students and teachers. To us, a Leader is a person who doesn’t tell you what to do, they show you. They should lead by example!
Grahamvale Primary School is conducting a survey to find out what
parents think of our school. The Parent Opinion Survey is an annual
survey offered by the Department of Education and Training that is
conducted amongst all parents. It is designed to assist schools in gaining
an understanding of parents’ perceptions of school climate, student
behaviour, student engagement and experiences of remote and flexible
learning. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct
future school planning and improvement strategies.
All parents will be invited to participate in this year’s survey.
All responses to the survey are anonymous.
This year, the Parent Opinion Survey will be conducted from
Monday 12th October to Friday 13th November.
Emails have been sent out to families with details on how to access
the survey.
If you wish to participate in this survey and have not received an email
from the school, please contact the school office and provide them with
your email address.

The Child Safe Standards are they are well prepared to protect children from abuse and
neglect. The standards provide a framework for schools to review existing policies and
practices and all other aspects of child safety, to ensure a ‘Zero Tolerance’ approach to
any form of child abuse. You can access our policy on the school’s website.
