Quo-Test®A1CIT’S NEVER BEEN SO EASY
Quo-Test®A1CQuotient Diagnostics is proud to introduce Quo-Test A1C, the first assay to be released on the Quo-Test assay platform– a fast one step assay system for Glycated Hemoglobin (A1C). Other important Point of Care parameters will bereleased in the near future, expanding the capabilities of the Quo-Test platform.
Quo-Test A1C exploits the well known affinity of boronic acid to bind to cis-diol groups that are present on carbohy-drates. Quo-Test A1C is a homogeneous assay that requires no separation steps. In practical terms this approach con-fers advantages for the user in ease of operation, speed and system reliability. In performance terms it almost eliminateserrors introduced through operator variability.

Precision & AccuracyQuo-Test A1C delivers excellent accuracy and precision andis ideal for the low-volume laboratory or physician’s office.Quo-Test consistently delivers results which meet therequirements of today’s busy clinics where rapid feedbackof results improves patient outcomes. Quo-Test A1C istraceable to the IFCC reference method and reports resultsin either DCCT, IFCC, mono-S or JDS aligned values.Quo-test A1C has been certified to the NGSP. The calibra-tion data for each lot of reagents is entered into the readervia a barcode supplied with each reagent kit. This onlyneeds to be done once for each lot.

Efficient Patient Data Handling and QCSimplicity of use is backed up by a versatile system for handling patient data and providing the necessary connectivity to datamanagement systems. All results are stored within the instrument memory and can be accessed from the key pad. A smalloptional label printer can be attached if required to print results for record keeping. Patient and operator IDs may be storedwith the results using a hand-held barcode reader supplied as standard.
The barcode reader is also used to good effect for the initiation of QC control runs simply by scanning the barcode of theQuo-Test control samples. Control results are tagged with the control lot ID and the pass/fail results of the control.
A USB port enables upload of all results to a PC or LIS.

Minimal Handling...MinimumHands on TimeNothing can be simpler than the Quo-Test A1C system
• Collect blood sample from a finger prick• Insert sample collector into cartridge• Place cartridge inside analyzer and close the door
The analyzer will automatically identify the cartridge, start the test and deliver the result within 4 minutes.
Incomparably Easy and ReliableUsing patented homogeneous technology Quo-Test A1C exploits the phenome-non of fluorescent quenching where the fluorescence of a boronic acid conjugate isreduced when bound to glycated hemoglobin. The Quo-Test analyzer automatesthe test process combining simultaneous measurements of absorbance and fluores-cence in one sample. The process simplicityof a homogeneous test enables a simple andreliable system. When coupled with analyzersoftware and a simple user interface, designed to detect potential error condi-tions, it delivers incomparable ease of use.
A small footprint and very low weightmeans that the system is at home on adesktop and can easily be transported when necessary.
