Rotary Club of Haenertsburg is looking for a principal partner to provide funding of approximately R375,000
towards a Global Grant application for the training of 15 local Early Childhood Development (ECD) practitioners. The project
is currently being promoted internationally on the Rotary Ideas home page which can be visited at
http://ideas.rotary.org/.In an attempt to investigate whether there may be a South
African corporate which has a CSI division who may be interested in investing in this project, the Foundation Officer of RC of Haenertsburg, Peter Stuart-Thompson, would like to
network with any Rotary member who may have a link to a potential corporate CSI which Peter could directly approach.

Bicycles needed
Contact: Leon Vercueil on [email protected]
We have received a request for Bicycles for a community that have challenges with public transport.
Barokologadi Tribe, comprise of 4 villages namely Pitsedisulejang, David Katnagel, Obakeng and Debrak and
is under the leadership of Chief Thari Maotwe.
These villages are situated in the Moses Kotane Region of the North West province, South Africa.
This community is faced by dire mobility challenges. The students are battling going to school with limited public
transport. The community is mainly a farming community having to walk a distance going to the cattle post. There are not many health care facilities and going
to the clinics and fetching water is a mission.
These people will benefit a lot from Bicycles for Humanity. It will be a welcome relief to many and a basic necessity to most of the students. If you can assist with
bicycles please contact Leon Vercueil.
