Describe the Warfare of WWII?

How did the Governments increase their power during WWII?
• Used propaganda to convey messages
• Rationing of food and other commodities
• Forces businesses to build Airplanes and Tank…used to build household appliances
• Selling of War bonds to raise money
• Regulate prices
What effect does the war have on the economy?
• Decreased unemployment
• Helps the overall economy
What was Rosie the Riviter?
• Symbol of the role women played in replacing men’s industrial jobs
Where and how were the American fighting from 1942-1943?
• Pacific – Naval battles
• Against Japan
How did women help the war effort/ What was their role?
• Performed many of the tasks of men who were off fighting
• Nurses, drove ambulances
• Decoded messages
Who were the “Big Three?”

• What stands out to you?-There’s a major trust issue…how can the
