TPACK- Technology, Pedagogy, and Content Knowledge
Successful technology integration requires that educators blend strong content knowledge with appropriate pedagogical strategy.

Why the ET is so essential
Educational Technologists can work with classroom teachers to seamlessly incorporate the NETS standards and identify appropriate technology tools to enhance a learning experience.

NETS*S, NETS*T, and NETS*A Standards
The International Society for Technology in Education has issued and refreshed standards aimed at students, teachers and now administrators.

Why Three Sets?
Math, ELA, and science standards are not broken down into administrator, teacher, and student standards.
PedagogicalKnowledge
Content Knowledge
Technological Knowledge…Because technology integration
is a BIG JOB that, if done correctly, should change the way:
•Administrators plan,•Teachers teach, •and Students learn.
Role of the ET
To effectively create this change in practice, there are ETs:
In every school In every district In every areaAnd at Headquarters…
…to stay current of assistive technology tools, integrate tools into content standards, and assist teachers with pedagogical implications.
So that ETs can focus on TPACK…
ETs will not:monitor SIS maintenance.compile SPSS and other school standard data.fix hardware and software problems.
ETs will: • work with teachers and students in the classroom.• work to find areas in DoDEA content standards that are a natural fit for existing technology tools.• work with teachers in planning lessons and provide job embedded training to further teacher confidence with available technology tools.
