OUR MISSION STATEMENT
SS. Peter & Paul Parish, a community of faith called by God to deepen
our relationship with Jesus Christ, serves the Lord by sharing our time,
talent and treasure. As disciples of Christ, we are called to bring Jesus
Christ to ourselves and others: our children, the sick, the poor, the fallen
away Catholics and those who need to hear God’s message of uncondi-
tional love and forgiveness. SS. Peter & Paul Parish is a beacon of light
rooted in Jesus Christ, passed on to his successor, our Holy Father the
Pope, and is guided by our local bishop to build the Kingdom of God on
Earth. It is our mission to shine the light of Jesus Christ in our world and
to spiritually enrich the individual members of the parish as well as the
larger community through word, worship, sacrament and service.

Men, set some space aside in your busy schedules
to attend this Conference. Those who attended last year’s
conference felt that the day was very beneficial. More de-
tails will follow, but mark your calendars now.

A women's retreat is scheduled at St. Mary's in Wyalusing

Join us for BEST LENT EVER 2016
Rediscover Jesus
Are you searching for a deeper sense of purpose?
A clearer understanding of God’s plan for your life?
What matters most and what matters least?
—Then it’s time to rediscover Jesus.
Based on Matthew Kelly’s new bestseller,
Rediscover Jesus, our free Best Lent Ever email program
will take you on a 40-day spiritual journey to encounter
Jesus—and yourself—in a deeply personal way, and begin
(or nourish) a habit of daily prayer.
NEARLY A QUARTER MILLION POPLE
PARTICIPATED IN BEST LENT EVER 2015.
NOW IT’S YOUR TURN !
Will it be your best Lent ever? That is entirely up to you.
Lent is not just about giving things up;
Lent is about doing something—
doing something bold; becoming a better
husband, father, wife, mother, friend, etc.
We hope that this program will help you do that.
Lent will soon be upon us!
What, Lent will soon be here? We just finished
Christmas, how can Lent be so soon?
It is true; Lent this year begins on Ash Wednesday,
February 10, 2016.
But “Do Not Be Afraid” — we just received infor-
mation from Dynamic Catholic that they are offering a free
email program to correspond with Matt Kelley’s book,
“Rediscover Jesus,” that was distributed at Christmas – if
you did not get a copy, see Fr. Ed. Here is how it
works: sign-up on line at DynamicCatholic.com/Lent and
you will receive a daily email with a short video that will
guide you through the 40 chapters of the book (one each
day). This sounds great! It seems like a very simple way,
during Lent, to bring Jesus into our lives, leading to a more
personal relationship with Him. I feel that this is something
in which the whole family can participate. Not only that,
the kids can show the parents how all this computer
and internet stuff works.

Standing Up For Life
We are grateful to everyone involved in the planning, organizing, participating
(especially outside in the cold), and praying, in the annual Rally for Life at the
Courthouse last Sunday and in the prayer service and reception hosted at our
church afterward. By your actions, you have given public witness to all observ-
ers, as well as to those who saw the front-page newspaper article on Monday in
the Towanda Daily Review, about the sanctity of life. You represent not only the
parish of Saints Peter and Paul, but also, along with many other pro-lifers from
our community, courageously stand up for those most vulnerable among us.
Anyone interested in future pro-life activities and events should contact Mare Seibert 570-265-3122.
