Range of Products / Total Package Technology Products was incorporated in 1988 for design, manufacture and commissioning of
Electrical Testing, Measuring and Electrical Safety Equipment up to 800KV. Primarily aimed as import substitution
unit, Technology Products has developed a number of testing equipment for the first time in the country. Our
products are highly reliable and are being used for testing, commissioning and maintenance of vital equipment at
projects of National importance.
With the rapid industrialization and electrification, the demand of electrical testing, commissioning
and safety equipment has increased manifolds. Today all successful industries depend on reliable power supply. If
the commissioning in the beginning and testing and maintenance later on is carried out in a systematic way, most
of the problems are sorted out and breakdowns can be avoided
Technical Capability
Technology Products' team of highly experienced engineers and technicians can design, manufacture
and commission highly sophisticated Electrical Testing and Electrical Safety Equipment up to 800KV. Constant
support is available from our Principals who are leaders in their own fields. In past our engineers have designed
and manufactured testing equipment up to 800KV and highly specialized systems such as Cable Termination
Systems (Water Terminations) up to 300KV for Partial
Discharge measurement in XLPE Cables. Some of these
engineers had served in leading organizations of the world
and have been trained abroad in specialized field. Special
attention is paid on training of engineers and
documentation, which has in turn paid us rich dividends. Our engineers have undergone extensive training in the

To produce high quality products and to develop latest equipment, we have established an In-House
Laboratory with state of art facilities. The Laboratory also serves for routine testing of our products and raw

conducted at Govt./Govt. Recognized Laboratories. We utilize services of National Laboratories, Test Houses,
Research & Development Centers whenever required for our R&D activities also.

To test VCB Bottles we have developed a specialized Vacuum Bottle test Set. This is a portablemicroprocessor based equipment with in built 60KVDC source and controllers to test bottles at highvoltage. The vacuum bottles can be tested just by drawing out the breakers (without even removing thebottle) in less than 5 minutes time.
The leakage current passing through the vacuum bottle is monitored by a microprocessor which in turn indicates thecondition of vacuum bottles. The threshold settings can be programmed (in the internal microprocessor) to suit differentbreaker types also.

The Insulated operating sticks are manufactured in our plant using extrusion process. The extrusion is carried out under high pressure which ensures excellent mechanical properties and smooth surface finish. The sticks are coated with double (or more) coatings of Anti – Tracking Compounds which provide excellent surface finish and anti tracking properties.
For Foam Filled Rods special machine is used to fill foam with controlled density. The foam has a 'Closed Cell Structure’ which prevents ingress of dust & moisture inside the rod and maintains excellent electrical properties throughout its life.
The above Range Extension can be used to extend the System Voltage rating or to Extend the length of the system so as to reach more heights. Basic System is suitable for 33KV, Extension Handles are added to Extend the voltage ranges up to 66KV, 132KV, 220K, 420KV & 510KV. The system is extremely light in weight and is designed to be operated by a s i n g l e person.

Also known as Live Line Detector, indicates presence of high voltage when the tester is brought near live circuits. It is a must for Electrical Engineers & Technicians working in Switch-yards, Circuit Breakers and high voltage equipment. The Spout Tester is similar to TP-S9 Model except that it has a detachable probe. When the detachable probe is removed from the tester, it will not operate for safety precautions. Portable Earthing Equipment Portable Earthing Equipment are safety equipment designed for discharging & grounding of dead equipment. The system is designed for high fault levels so that even if during shut downs, when technicians are on the job, by mistake if the supply is switched ON, the Portable Earthing Equipment saves human life as well as equipment under maintenance. Special Line End & Earth End Clamps along with operating socket and earthing lead are used. The Line End Clamps, Earth End Clamps & operating sockets are made of very special aluminum alloys which can withstand high short circuit currents.
Using Portable Earthing Equipment, clamps are applied from remote just by turning the insulated operating pole and the operator never comes in contact with any conductor, so it is highly safe system. Using the common operating pole clamps are applied on each phase one by one.

Drop Out (DO) Fuse Operating Rods
Non Linear Carbon Discharge Resistor Type Discharge Rods are used to discharge dead system having limited fault levels and also to discharge the static & induced charges in the dead system or equipment, particularly in transmission lines, cables, transformers, reactors, large bus bar systems, switch-gears etc. The earthing lead is made up of special highly flexible braided copper cable with transparent sheath. Copper Hook of 4” dia of ½” thick copper rod & Earth End Clamp of special alloy are provided.

When discharging inductive apparatus (transformers, reactors etc.) controlled discharging must be used. We provide non linear carbon discharge resistor for this purpose which prevents the lightning impulses appearing across the equipment being discharged. While discharging inductive loads the emf induced across the object is directly proportional to rate of change of flux i.e.
Since L (inductance) is usually large and the discharging takes place in microseconds, a huge impulse voltage resembling a 1.2/50µsecpulse appears across the object (a typical waveform is shown in Fig), thus subjecting the equipment under discharging to a lightningimpulse voltage.
To overcome this non linear carbon discharge resistor is employed. The reverse temperature coefficient of carbon facilitatescontrolled discharging. As the current flows through the carbon resistance, this increases the temperature and by virtue ofreverse temperature coefficient, the resistance falls. Therefore as the current is flowing, voltage is reducing and sinceresistance is also reducing a controlled discharging takes place
The DO Fuse operating rods has and innovative design for fitting, removing & changing Drop Out Fuses. The DO Fuse Operating Rods has a spring loaded Fuse Jaw which accepts the DO fuses easily and ensures that it does not fall while fitting or removing. The entire operation is carried out from ground level comfortably.
This method saves considerable amount of time and effort for fuse replacement and provides extremely safe procedure as compared to the conventional procedures.

Most electrical problems within industrial facilities are manifested or
are accompanied by temperature changes as an effect prior to
failure. For this reason IR thermography has become an
integral part of most predictive/preventative maintenance programs. Infrared cameras can pick up small
changes in temperature not visible to the human eye. It is a non contact, non destructive, and fairly simple method of detecting impending electrical problems.
It is widely known that as temperature in a conductor rises, so does it's resistance. Similarly, as resistance increases (in most conductors) temperature rises.
A loosely tightened connector effectively reduces the surface area in which current can flow and consequently result in an increase in the contact resistance. Oxidation build up at the connection point can also cause a rise in resistance. The origin of most conductor, insulation, and component problems can be traced to a poor connection using an infra-red camera.
