3rd person singular
In general :
The third person singular is formed by adding an s to the base verb.
To work He works
In verbs ending in ss,x,ch,sh,o
“Es” is added in the third person singular.
To dress She dresses
To fix He fixes
To watch She watches T.V.
To wash She washes
To go It goes !
In verbs ending in consonant + y
The y changes to “ies”
To cry He cries.
The present simple : negative form
Negative formI, you, we, they don’t +base verb
He, she , it doesn’t+base verb
I don’t work.
You don’t work.
He doesn’t work.
She doesn’t work.
It doesn’t work.
We don’t work.
You don’t work.
They don’t work.
