After graduating McGill University Medical School in 2012, Dr. Stoynova started her internal medicine residency through the University of British Columbia. Drawn to complex multi-systemic disease, she started her General Internal Medicine fellowship at UBC in 2015 and achieved FRCPC certification in 2016.

A passionate cyclist and travel-lover, Val enjoys seeing the world on pedal-power. When she isn’t cycling in remote areas, you can find her enjoying a cup of dark roast at the local coffee shop or running along the Sea Wall. Val is a passionate patient advocate who also enjoys volunteering in her spare time.
