Principal’s Notes:
Advent Dinner and Worship-
Advent is a season of anticipation and preparation. We remember the coming of the King of Kings on that very first Christmas, as we get our hearts ready to remember and
rejoice. We also look in eager anticipation to when the King will come again.
During Advent we also have the joy of gathering together again in mid-week worship.
Join us for Mid-Week Worship: Wednesday, December 13 Wednesday, December 20
These services will be at 7pm in the gym.
There will also be dinners offered for a free-will donation starting at 6pm in the gym. Men's Club will be cooking for THIS Wednesday's meal!
See you at 6pm for Advent Worship!
• Congratulations to all who participated in the Joyous Sounds service this past Sunday evening, Dec. 10. A special thanks to Mr. Evan Arceneaux for his leadership.
• Congratulations to the preschool faculty/staff and students for leading us in Christmas chapel worship today, Wednesday, December 13, 2017.
EDUCATOR NEWS Congratulations to Ms. Chloe Harney who is receiving her Master’s Degree yesterday, Tuesday, December 12. What a great addition she has been to our faculty.
Chapel Offerings – 2nd Quarter
Chapel offerings for the 2nd Quarter have been designated for “natural disasters”. Many people
around the world have been affected in the past months, so this will be an opportunity for us to
serve them and share our blessings with those in need. We have chosen to focus on the people
affected by the hurricane in the Dominican Republic.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Worship at Atonement-It is hard to believe that we are two weeks away from Christmas. As we continue to get ready by wrapping up projects, studying for exams, squeezing in some extra time for shopping, and taste testing all those cookies and treats, I want to take a moment to inform you about the worship opportunities that we have for Christmas. With Christmas Eve being on a Sunday this year it gives us an opportunity to do things a little bit different. We are not going to have Saturday evening service at 5pm on the 23rd, or our usual Sunday morning services (8 and 10:30) on the 24th. Instead we will have the opportunity to join together to rejoice at and worship the birth of our king at the two Christmas Eve services at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. Both of the services will be candle-light services, an opportunity to thank God for the gift of His Son. We will also be able to join together on Christmas Day at 9 am to sing for joy and proclaim "happy birthday Jesus!" I hope to see you at any of these wonderful worship opportunities. God's blessings to you through this Advent season, and always! In His Service, Pastor Tim
