Capilix’s vision is to bring the laboratory to the process, rather than waiting for laboratory results, before changing process parameters.
For implementation of this vision Capilix has developed a new productline Qwatch; A robust industrial on-line analyses instrument, based microchip CE technology. The technology is useful at determining concentrations of many diffe-rent ions present in industrial water installations, which can be measured simul-taneously, i.e., in one run.
This profiling of metal ion composition has several applications such as control-ling water quality in drinking water plants, process control in waste water treat-ment and nutrient control for zero discharge greenhouses; capabilities include NH4+, NO3-, H2PO4-, Fe3+, Ca2+, Mg2+, etc. Furthermore, the same instru-ment can be used for analysis of different classes of ions, e.g. inorganic anions or volatile fatty acids, simply by using adapted assay formats.
There are a number of advantages to Qwatch including: a short response time, integrated calibration, one instrument for multiple components, and a wide range of cations and anions can be monitored.
Capilix is focused on applications in industrial (waste) water plants and has extensive experience in different fields of ion monitoring in various industries, such as pulp and paper industry, greenhouses, anaerobic treatment, drinking water, etc.

Lontra has developed the innovative Blade Compressor for waste water aeration.
The technology reduces energy consumption by 20%, and has variable flow, reduced noise and capital costs comparable to current blowers. Waste water applications are one of three initial target markets for Lontra's innovative paten-ted compressor technology.
The Blade Compressor is in development for the water industry with the UK's Severn Trent Water, and products will be available in Q4 2012.

Salttech BV has developed a unique system for desalination of salty wastewater streams; Dynamic Vapor Recompression (DVR).
In DVR the actual boiling only takes place in the cyclone evaporators. This results in less scaling/fouling and better performance of the heat exchanger both resulting in lower energy consumption compared to regular Mechanical Vapor Recompression. The large evaporation area created by the spray nozzles in the cyclones, and the high recirculation flow, results in high rate evaporation but without boiling phenomena like aerosols.
Possible applications are:
Currently the system is further developed in order to discharge the crystallized salts from the system with an additional module.
