Book Fair! This week, we are #GlengalaProud to host the second of our Scholastic Book Fairs. The theme of the fair is
“Australia – Story Country”. There’s a large selection of fiction, non-fiction and picture books for students to
purchase, as well as an assortment of stationary and paper. The book fair is open before school from 8.45am, at
lunchtime and after school until 3.30pm, and runs until this Friday.
Portsea Camp Congratulations to Abrash and Dylan in Grade 5 who have been selected to attend the Portsea Camp over the
January school holidays. We know you will represent our school with pride, and we look forward to hearing
about your camp when you return to school next year.
Staff Professional Development – Pivotal Curriculum for Behaviour Management We are very excited to announce that four of our staff – Chris Sacco, Josie Leone-Muensang, Sarah Foster and
myself are attending ‘Train the Trainer’ professional learning in Behaviour Management, as part of a pilot
program being introduced to Australia by the UK-based Pivotal Curriculum group. We are very excited about
introducing Pivotal Curriculum for Behaviour Management to our school, as it closely aligns with our philosophy
of School Wide Positive Behaviour and building positive relationships with all members of our school
community. We will be rolling out this program in 2017 to support our students in developing their self-
management and social and emotional learning skills.
