January 1996 – July 2012 Northend Croydon BranchRegulated Mortgage Advisor – Alliance & Leicester/Santander BankHaving been transferred to the Strand Branch, I was promoted to Mortgage Advisor in January 1996 when the Kingsway branch closed. During this time I gained considerable experience in selling mortgages. I was trained in the different levels of service and started my training in regulated exams. In April 1999 I was transferred to the Gracechurch St. branch because I wanted to work in a large city branch. I attained passes in Cefa 1 & 2. I then began my studying for Cemap exams and I was fully qualified attaining a pass in Cemap 3 in December 2002. In November 2004, I became a Regulated Mortgage Advisor as mortgage regulation started and Alliance & Leicester decided that we would be giving advice only in the branches. In December 2006 I was transferred to the Balham branch because the branch had poor mortgage sales results and there had not been a mortgage advisor since 2005. Following area changes in December 2008, I moved to the more prestigious Croydon branch and I provide cover for 2 other branches for the South London and Surrey Area. In August 2010 Alliance & Leicester was taken over by the Santander Group.
