PROCESS OF MAKING GAME BOARD (23/8)

Before we get into the process ofmaking the game board, all the groupmembers stayed back for discussion. We discussed on the compilation ofgame board’s idea, packaging, videoshooting and poster design.

1

We measured and drew out thedimension line of the equilateraltriangles which is 54cm, 45cm, 36cm,27cm, 18cm, 9cm. After that we usedthe electric saw to cut the board intothe shape of equilateral triangles.

2

We used both rough and fine surfaceof sand papers to smoothen the edgeof the board.

3

After the cutting process was done,we glued the board based on thefinalised design. The clamping timetook around 5-10 minutes to becompletely cured.

After we had glued all the woodpieces together, the outlook of theboard is shown in the figure. Thereare 6 layers in total, and the wholeprocess took us about one and a halfhours to finish.

We coloured the game board withdifferent colours which are blue, purple, brown, gray, black, green andmaroon. Each of the color has theirown respective meaning.

6

To make the castle, we sticked thethe surface of the toilet roll with tissuepaper. After 30 minutes of dryingprocess, we then applied the desiredcolour to decorate and beautify theview of model.

After we coloured the game boardand castle, we applied a thin layer ofclear spray to create a shiny-lookingsurface, following with another layerof clear spray after the first layer haddried out.

After 10 minutes, the board lookedshiny and clean which can increasethe marketing value of the productand satisfaction of buyers.

1

After we measured the dimensionalline of the packaging, we used theelectric saw to cut the wood intopieces, then nailed the piecestogether.

The edges of the packaging werethen smoothen with a piece ofsandpaper and the final outlook ofthe packaging is as shown in thefigure.

The design of the manual instructionwas an idea originally from thetreasure map, and yet the manualinstruction was all handwritten.
