ХІД УРОКУІ. Початок уроку.1. Greeting.T: Good morning, pupils!Ps: Good morning, teacher!T: How are you today?2. The theme and the aim.T: Today we will speak about two capitals: London and Kyiv. And we will speak about

places of interest. 3. Phonetic drill.T: Look at the board and let’s read tongue twister.Before having a better lot, a man had travelled over the world.4. Warming up. T: Nice of you. Tell me please, what is the capital of Great Britain?- What is the capital of Ukraine?- Have a look at the board. Here are pictures with places of interests of both cities.- Your task is to guess the place and its location and give the answer for two questions.- What place of interest is it?- Where is it situated?ІІ. Основна частина.1. Speaking.T: I see that you know a lot of places of interest both capitals. Now you next task is to

imagine, that you have just visited Kyiv or London. Make up dialogues about it.For example:

- Hello! I’ve heard that you were in London. How long were you there?- I was there for two days?- What places have you visited?- I visited The Houses of Parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral and British Museum.- What landmarks did you like most of all and why?- I liked Big Ben because I’ve never seen such a big clock.2. Pre-watching.T: Well, answer my questions!- Do you like travelling?

- Ok, we will watch video about travelling to London. Pay attention to the polite phrases and places of interest which will be mentioned in the video.Phrases: please (use at the end of the sentences) and excuse me, thank you very much.Sightseeing: London Eye, Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, Green Park, Tower of London, Tower Bridge.
