UNIVERSITY OF EVANSVILLE Hosted by the University of Evansville College of Engineering and Computer Science, this day camp gives middle school boys the chance to spend their days learning from UE faculty, staff, and students. Each day, the boys will have a chance to explore different areas of science or engineering by taking classes and working on team projects. Areas of exploration include electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer science, and physics. Additionally the boys will tour local industries to see how engineering is important in the workplace. The camp is designed to give middle school boys a better understanding of what types of opportunities are available in fields most closely related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Held on the University of Evansville Campus 1800 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, Indiana June 2 - 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Boys currently in grades 6, 7, or 8 Cost: $225 (includes all transportation during camp, lunch each day, supplies, and materials) Enrollment is limited to 35 participants. We reserve the right to cancel if minimum enrollment is not met. Application deadline is May 1, 2014.
