WP4 CURRENT STATUS OF PILOTING-Gazi University/Turkey


Number of participants

• 20 participants

– 12 women

– 8 men


Profile of participants

• All the participants were;

– Low skilled unemployed people who are seeking to work as PCG

– Low skills workers who wants to be prequalified as PCGs – Literate – Desirous for the training


Involvement of trainers

• We have informed the people via:

– e-mail groups,

– facebook,

– website of our university,

– formal letter to the nursery homes for elderly,

– special education and rehabilitation clinics for disabled people


Profile of the trainers

• Bulent Elbasan, PT, PhD

• Deran Oskay, PT, PhD

• Alper Ertem, Health Educator, MSc

• Alper Güzel, Health Management, PhD

– Expertise in the field of rehabilitation in children and elderly o-people

– Have experience in teaching


Induction sessions held

• Duration: 1 April – 1 October 2015

• Induction training in each Turkey aimed to introduce the piloting process to the piloters

• Get the piloters and trainers familiar with the piloting methodology

• Pre-assessment of the piloters’ knowledge with regards to the PCG topic

• Presentation of the online and mobile training platform


Evaluation

• Duration: 1 September – 30 November

• Finalisation of the training process

• Post assessment of the obtained knowledge


Collecting feedback and if needed revisions and finalisation of the M-CARE training

materials.

• Duration: 1 November – 30 November 2015

• Any further revisions in response to the testing outcomes was collected

• Gathered final feedback by members of the NAB

• We will publish online the final versions of the training materials (1-31 December 2015

Use of e-learning platforms (e.g. frequency, interface, usability, presentation of the content etc. )

• In Turkey, Gazi purchase 5 mobile Samsung devices and the trainers will provide also 2 Samsung smartphones it has itself.

• A range of laptops running Win 7 and Win 8.1 are also being made available for the piloters.
