rainforests• Although rainforests cover only about 0.3 % of Australia, they contain

about half of all Australian plant families and about a third of Australia's mammal and bird species.

• Australia’s natural rainforests are the same like Chinas rainforests with the same levels of foliage e.g.: Emergent: Giant trees that are much higher than the average canopy height. It houses many birds and insects. Canopy: The upper parts of the trees. This leafy environment is full of life in a tropical rainforest and includes: insects, birds, reptiles, mammals, and more. Understory: A dark, cool environment under the leaves but over the ground. Forest floor : Teeming with animal life, especially insects. The largest animals in the rainforest generally live here.

• Gondwana Rainforests of Australia are located in South East Queensland, the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia include the most extensive areas of subtropical rainforest in the world with large areas of warm temperate rainforest.

• But unlike China’s rainforests there are many indigenous groups of people who have live in the tropical rainforests like the Kuku Yulanji. They have lived in scattered villages in the rainforests for hundreds or thousands of years. These tribes get their food, clothing, and housing mainly from materials they obtain in the forest
