• It is a mul&-‐publisher digital pla2orm for higher educa&on • 100% eTextbooks, as well as ac=ve content, addi=onal features for studying and teaching, and resources for tes&ng your learning progress • It aims at helping study by means of a digital environment, which gives more op&ons • It is both a web plaEorm (please go to www.pandoracampus.it), and an app for iOs tablet, which can be used off line as well

• It prompts the study of texbooks • Printed books are engineered -‐ fully-‐fledged digital edi=ons (no pdf and no ac&ve Drm) • It adds context around content: digital store + elearning evironment = editorial services • It is based on standards and so open to integra&on, and complies with up-‐to-‐date technology
Reasons why it’s new
• Fully based on standards: – Docbook and html5 for text; – Css & javascript for interac&vity – Doi, Onix and Marc21 for metadata; – Ims L& & Q& for resources and quizzes
• Interoperability: It can be integrated with elearning-‐pla2orms, opac and online stores
• Portability: via browser, all the sysop – app for Android in 2015
