What gender are you?

This question was for me to find out the basics of what my possible target audience will be. As shown in the pie chart male was the winner by some distance. This has come as know surprise as my music genre of ‘grime’ is often thought upon as more of a male thing. Also

the fact that i gave out most of my questionnaires to the male gender.

2. Are you interested in grime

Interested

Not interested

This question was fundamental to my magazine creation as the whole magazine is based on a grime theme. Thankfully enough by looking at the pie chart I can see that grime is still a popular figure as 60% of people still

seem to be interested in it.

Once I find out my core grime audience I threw away the peoples questionnaire’s that weren't interested in grime.

4. Best colour scheme

black and white

red and bluered and black

blue and green

What do you believe to be the best colour scheme?

These results show me that ‘black and white’ was the preferred colour scheme. This has come as a surprise as usually an audience wants something that

catches their eyes which would often be bright vibrant colours. My choice would have been ‘red and black’ as these two colours often connotate grime music. (This came in a close second). An alternative reason for black and white to be the winner is maybe because the audience would of like a different option that wasn’t labelled. Overall I don’t believe I will be following the audiences opinion

here as I am a fan of ‘red and black’ which was also still liked by a fair amount of my target audience.

5. Preffered topics inside the magazine

up and coming artists

grime artists thoughtstop 50 grime songs ever made

grime music battles

What sort of topics would you like to see in my magazine?

My results show me that ‘up and coming artists’ was the favoured choice which has come as know surprise as I was planning on featuring this anyway. Once again it has come as know shock to me that ‘top 50 grime songs ever made’

came second. My results show me that all be it these two were clear favourites the other options were still liked so all these options are possibilities with in my

magazine.

The answers I got back from this question didn't really help at all. The reason for this is because I was looking for a dominant answer instead of a split view. My personal opinion would be to have a monthly magazine released in order for more content to

be distributed and also so there is more time for ideas and thoughts.

This was an essential question in my questionnaire. The reason for this is the masthead of a magazine is extremely important in order for it to get known and stand out towards all viewers but mainly my specific target audience. ‘A life of

Grime’ would have been my personal choice so it comes as know surprise to me that this was the majority of peoples votes.

‘Font 1’ was the audiences favourite font by some distance. I to thought it was the best and would also look the best within a grime music magazine; the reason for this is because it is a simple san-serif font which would make it clear and bold but also because the almost ripped bits in the font suggest a sort of graffiti which is often

represented in grime.
