The idea of blended learning

• Offers different ways to learn, because students are different.

• Rooted in the idea that leaning is not a one-time event but a continuous process.

• Mixes face-to-face classrooms, live e-learning and self-paced learning.

• Supports student-centred, constructivist views of learning.

Ways to use the net as integral part of classroom courses

• Discussion in net/chat– improves the skills of argumentation – can faciliate conversation on delicate matters

• Virtual study diary / study blog– encourages students to reflect their experiences of

learning– enables the teacher to react quickly to students’

questions and problems and at its best it creates a forum for teacher and the students to develop together the learning process

– open study diaries = blogs, are widely used in university studies
