then recycle some parts like the ATX case, keyboard, mouse, monitor and other parts.

There are many brands to choose from but prioritizes the following because the bulk of the client budget will be spent here

1. A. Processor 2. B. Motherboard3. C. Memory/RAM4. D. Video card or GPU 5. E. The last will be HDD because you can recycle this

hardware from old unit if the client has one and if it is possible if not therefore buy a new one

Even though it is expensive intel is good for high-end performance like movie editing in HD, 3D Rending etc..

Cheaper for low-end and midrange performance. For documents and gaming

A. Overall there is no good or bad processor, it is the purpose of the client that matters

B. AMD is cheaper and it is good for gaming because client can spend more money in video cards and also AMD is good for office environment like browsing, creating documents and other office software. Having an Intel iSeries is impractical

Note

Even though AMD is good and cheap sometimes people feel comfortable having a INTEL processor. You just need to explain to the client that he/she needs to spend additional money for INTEL processor

After you bought a processor, it is bundled with a motherboard. It is up to the client to choose which brand they like ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte etc.

any brands are all the same quality because most were made in China

1. Common brands Seagate or Western Digital any brands is good but it depends on your choice

2. Two types of connection a SATA HDD and IDE HDD. Current computers use SATA HDD but some old computers still use IDE

3. A standard normal harddrive has a platter and an arm that reads those platter same as a old record player

4. The speed of the HDD depends how fast the platter spin it is called RPM

5. Different HDD have different speeds the higher the RPM the faster the HDD

6. Energy Efficient HDD they use less power because they spin slower

1.No moving parts or no parts to break2. Faster than a standard harddrive3. Expensive than a standard HDD4. Not Advisable for low budget clients

ONBOARD Video card can be found in the motherboard

Separate Video cards for gaming and movie editing clients. Clients that are willing to spend more money

1.Buying video cards depends on what are you doing or need. For browsing and surfing or making documents you just need a low end video cards sometimes just use the on-board video card found in your motherboard

2.If the software you used needs a high end video card you need to buy a high end

3. There are different brands of video card, all of them used a Graphics Processing Unit manufactured by two companies the ATI and NVIDIA

4. The higher the number the more powerful it is example GT 580 is more powerful than GT 520

6. The more powerful the video card the more power it needs therefore you need to upgrade your PSU

1. No brand specific it is up to you

2. Windows 7 needs 2GB of Memory if your clients want to play games you need atleast 4GB of memory

3. Motherboards have limits for memory

2. if your client don’t have a computer to recycle adjust it to the clients budget

3. Generic brands sometimes are good quality and sometimes are bad
