• Cape Cod style cottages emerged throughout the region

• Germany & Switzerland influence could be seen

• Most notably in Lunenburg• Georgian style was popular before the

revolution• Victorian architecture took hold in the

mid-19th century• Modern day styles mimic great cities like

New York and Chicago, with high rises• Known as an International Style
