Foundation was laid by Mr Abdul Kalam Azaad.

• The department of history and appreciation is located somewhere between the main building and studio block.
• It has a small office, a workshop & a Studio.

• Shelves and cabinets are been provided at the side of the studio.

As the Structure of Graphic dept. is Covered with asbestos Sheets & is Temporary built, they have Conserve the trees.
Truss Roofing is done, which is further covered with asbestos sheets.
STUDIO WORKSHOP
• Printing machines are placed in workshop.
• Display boards & Space for drying the Prints is available.
• Roofing- Trussed with asbestos sheets.
• Sink is place at the Corner of the workshop.
MERITS•No use of combustible flooring.
•Proper storage for printing paper & Ink.
•Sink available in workshop.
•Good cross ventilation & Source of Natural Lighting.
DEMERITS
•Cloak room was not present.
•The roof was covered with asbestos sheets due to which heat gets accumulate.
•Machines were kept without proper safety.
•Lot of dead spaces were present which were not utilised properly.
OPEN AIR THEATRE
OAT has a capacity of about 150 students.
A stage area is been provided, which is trussed & covered with asbestos sheets.
O.A.T is in poor condition & not maintained regularly, therefore it is not in use.
SPACES
• Lot of greenery & open Space gives a peaceful atmosphere, Which allow students to interact with nature.
• Sculptures in those areas add to its beauty.
• Paved Paths & Roads surrounded with Trees & Shrubs adds beauty to the Area.
• Open Spaces were well maintained.
• Various Sculptures were Placed all along the site.
• Seating space been provided at various places.
Canteen
• It is located in the open space just after the studio block.
• It has a lot of open seating too.

INFERENCES• A relationship between the built & the unbuilt spaces is needed to
properly taken care of in such a place where environment needs to be, more open ,cool and friendly
• Functionality should not be comprised in respect to aesthetics as an art faculty will laid more emphasis on aesthetics
• Proper services needed to be provided in departments such as sculpture and painting where chemicals and other hazardous materials are used. This can be achieved through providing proper ducts ,ventilators and keeping safe houses.
• Connectivity of segregated blocks (if provided ) in an efficient manner.
• Aesthetics are cared for, sometimes at the stake of comfort if not function.
• The site is well-segregated into various zones w.r.t the functions.
• Circulation spaces are minimized to obtain efficiency in design.
• Landscaping part to be done in an efficient manner as a more open environment needed for the students in such department

Architectural features
• Proper functioning through built and un built spaces as for different activities different centers are provided.
• Proper façade treatment to prevent the insulation of heat.
• Open courtyard provided in adjacent to art studios to provide a healthy environment.
• Aesthetic elements have been used in a sufficient manner –Pergolas
and other treatment.
• Proper openings have been given as in the same order as an art faculty should have in order to provide a good ventilation and lightning.
